i already love this weekend and it hasn’t even officially begun! my brother & i headed home to spend a couple days w. mom and dad — it’s his first trip home since moving to Raleigh 3 months ago — and i love home even more this time of year. it’s going to be a good weekend (:
and of course, a few feel-goods will kick it off just right, so let the good times roll!
TEXT: this brunch for a group of friends was centered around a theme of TYPE. from the invites to the centerpiece on the table, every detail of the party is letter perfect.
cat’s meow: i personally don’t really care for animal prints, BUT i love this combo of leopard + mustard yellow. & that necklace is incredible!
not your average billboard: so this is pretty awesome. located at the US/Canada border near Vancouver, this billboard advertises “nothing.” nothing but clean air that is. designed by a Seattle art/architecture firm, the unusual billboard is made of thousands of lead rods and capitalizes on a view of the open sky.
tick tock: what do you get when you put a clock, a vinyl record & an artist together — awesomeness. artist Pavel Sidorenko’s cool clocks are right on time!
give thanks: author Dallas Clayton hit it big when he published his first children’s book An Awesome Book! in 2008. in response to his first book’s overnight success, Clayton felt compelled to write a book of thanks. you can read An Awesome Book of Thanks in it’s entirety online HERE and i highly recommend you do so. an important lesson for little kids & big kids alike!
oh, Marcel: i saw this video two weeks ago and died laughing — since then it’s been popping up all over the place and i’m still laughing. if you have yet to see Marcel the Shell w. Shoes On, you’re in for a treat (:
lookin’ good: best friend, please don’t hate me for sharing this! Remember that care-package for Chels I stuck some goodies in a couple weeks ago? well it also included this gorgeous garment (she says w. great sarcasm) James & I thought Chels would get a good laugh from. James & Chels love wandering around the PTA Thrift Store in Chapel Hill, and J wanted to send her a little reminder of home — we couldn’t pass this $5 beauty up. finding this picture in my inbox this week =priceless.
