i never listen to Christmas music before Thanksgiving…i refuse. but starting the day after, i hardly listen to anything else!
so this week’s Tuesday Tunes is all about those Christmas tunes that make this special time of year all the more wonderful — below are a few of the songs, both old and new, from my Christmas play list. all these & many more have been in steady rotation the past few weeks.
Go Tell It On The Mountain: my favorite band has a Christmas song…it’s one of my favorites, of course.
Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays: N’SYNC. circa 1998. i was 10. at 22, i still love it. (how about that music video, oh boy.)
Joy To The World: i hear this song & i am immediately at home. Mannheim Steamroller is a tradition in the Hipp household thanks to my daddy (:
12 Days of Christmas: a classic from Straight No Chaser…
O Come Let Us Adore Him: this one has brought me to tears quite a few times…this is what it’s all about.
and a few more from the lengthy list include…
All I Want For Christmas Is You: my darling Hogan does the Clef Hangers proud on this one…listen here.
Auld Lang Syne: i simply love Ben Rector’s voice. period. listen here.
Mary & Joseph: my favorite from Dave’s new Christmas cd. listen here.
