well friends, it looks like we have just enough time to sneak in one more Feel-good Friday post before the year comes to an end. (i’ve said it once & i’ll say it again — where exactly did 2010 go?)
as we look ahead to what i know will be a splendid year, let’s do so with one last batch of feel-goods from 2010 to keep us company—sound good?
sitting pretty: how unbelievably cute are these mini gingerbread houses? AND they’re fashioned such to perch ever so sweetly on your favorite mug. Hats off to Megan of Not Martha for quite the creative cup!
driftwood: someone take me to the beach & quick! i must find random pieces of driftwood to transform into magnificent wall art — yarn + paint + wood, doesn’t get much simpler than that! [Free People & Poppytalk.]
black or white: how about both? loving these simple, graphic black + white prints by Therese Sennerholt. and i so appreciate the way she stages each print…invaluable for presentation purposes! color me Jade: these vintage plates from the Etsy shop of Gathering Vintage are deliciously delightful. my favorite nailpolish also happens to be called Jade is the New Black — hmmm, starting to sense a trend here.
Marten, Dr. Marten: i have recently re-discovered my love of shoes (uh oh) & although Doc’s shoes most likely will not be making an appearance on my feet anytime soon, i happen to think these soft pastels are a perfect update for these classic shoes. robin’s egg blue, absolutely.
things we love: each season the creative team behind Kate Spade New York puts together a little digital inspiration board of things they love (check’em out HERE). the team recently compiled a quirky little book of some of their favorites. the following would totally make the “things Madison loves” list.
handstands: i came across this photo and so love it’s quirky half-penciled look. it’s aptly titled “We’re All a Work in Progress.” Agreed.
anis mojgani: i discovered this incredible talent a few days ago & can’t stop listening to his stuff…listen closely or risk the chance of missing something truly brilliant.
2011 is almost here…but not quite yet. enjoy the last few hours, minutes & seconds of 2010, every moment matters.
cheers to you & 2010, it’s been a pleasure. joys, M.
