made in the south.

last year garden and gun magazine honored 20 southern entrepreneurs in it’s first ever made in the south awards —  below are a few of my favorites from 2010’s list, all dripping in southern pride…in a few weeks we’ll see what new southern talents 2011’s list offers up!

red bird ink: i’m starting to realize i have a thing for typography…and the antique wood type used on these letterpress coasters is magnificent!

rooibee red tea: i have a special love of rooibos tea — during the winter months i have a mug (or two) of this african tea every single day. the small crew behind rooibee red tea recognized roobios’ deliciousness and decided to bottle it up to sell…i wouldn’t mind having a bottle right about now!

emil erwin bags: talk about a true craftsman, emil crafts gorgeous leather goods in a workshop in the backyard of his east nashville home…i do love a good side satchel.

oh me, i do love the south. i do. i do.
