from days gone by.

if ever i could be transported back in time to a specific era i would without hesitation choose the jazz era. flapper dresses + big-band jazz music = good times.

every summer governor’s island at the tip of manhattan hosts the jazz age lawn fest complete with lots of brassy tunes, model Ts, picnic lunches and guys/gals decked out in 1920’s duds. sign. me. up.

it should go without saying that my heart nearly leapt from my chest when i came across jamie’s photos documenting all of the festivities. the clothes, the cars, the dancing….can i go next year, pretty please?

eeep. i heart elephants.
